Official Receiver
Official Receivers are responsible for the administration of Bankruptcies.
An officer of the court, and a civil servant, who is employed by the insolvency service (which is part of the DTI). The official receiver administers bankruptcies and compulsory liquidation, in cases where an external insolvency practitioner is not appointed.
